In this documentary film, Submarine Warfare, host Gene Kelly guides the viewer through life on board a World War II fighting submarine. Serving the country underwater offered unique challenges, both personal and mechanical, and the expertise of these men in their “sardine cans” was an important factor in the outcome of the war. War footage includes a hunt for enemy subs in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and the ferocious battle for New Britain.
