One of three films made in the sixannounced Morton of the Mounted series: Sergeant Bruce Morton (John Preston ), in charge of the Three Rivers Post of the Royal Northwest Mounted Police is informed by White Feather (Chief Whire Feather ), an Indian furtrapper, that for many months, most of the local fur trappers have been systematically robbed, but refuses to name the robbers, fearing for his life. Morton, his horse Dynamite (Dynamite the Horse ), his dog Captain (Captain King of Dogs ), and a RCMP corporal, Jimmy Downs (Jimmy Aubrey ), set out to apprehend the culprits. After rescuing Yvonne Travis (June Love ) from the treacherous waters of Horse Shoe Rapids, Morton learns that her father is a fur trader indebted to Monty Mordant (Tom London ), who runs the trading post, and Mordant is using her father’s debt to force Yvonne to marry him. A temperamental movie star storms off the set of her latest picture in order to carry on a fling with an ambitious, publicity-hungry prizefighter.

A man falls in love with a young woman, only to discover that she’s the daughter of an ex-girlfriend who jilted him almost 20 years before.

In the small town of Crown Port local attorney Bill Adams is trying to break up the ring of corrupt town officials by running for mayor. The cards seemed stacked against him when he gets help from a visiting hunter who, unknown to Adams and the rest of the town, is actually vacationing supreme court justice John Josephus Grant.

A murderous bank robber on the run from the law hides out in a small town, where he gets a job as a cab driver. He meets a young girl who is caring for her ill but wealthy aunt. He courts her and they eventually marry. She soon discovers exactly who he is, and finds herself enmeshed in a scheme involving murder and loot from a bank robbery.

During a séance at an elderly millionaire’s house, the millionaire is murdered. The detectives investigating the crime discover that everyone who was at the séance had a motive for killing the man.

To boost listener ratings, radio personality Mike Jason (Dennis O’Keefe) encourages sponsors, of his murder mystery radio show, to offer a reward to anyone who can locate safe cracker Jimmy Valentine, who is reportedly retired. Jason and co worker Cleo Arden, not Eve, ( played by Gloria Dickson) lead the hunt . which takes them to a small and previously quiet town. There is little tough guy Mousey (George Stone, who else ?), who becomes over zealous over the possibility of winning the reward. There is Bonnie (Ruth Terry), Mike’s teen girlfriend , who adds further mayhem. The original film was cut to 54 minutes due to its’ B movie billing and later television. At times. scenes may seem unconnected, for that reason.
