A college economics professor’s “radical” ideas about capitalism get him fired. When he decides to put those ideas into practice, he finds that they actually do generate him huge amounts of money. Soon a local banker and others who scoffed at his ideas see the amount of money he’s making and try to cheat him out of his system.

Two newly married carnival performers head to New York to make it big on Broadway, but after they get there the wife finds that a wealthy playboy has designs on her.

He learns through Toni Chase (Gertrude Michael)an American girl who runs a dance-resort on the island that Matsuru has established a powerful-and-hidden short-wave radio station near his home, and American ships have been attacked in that part of the Pacific with deadly effect.

In this adventure, set in Old California, a Spanish nobleman journeys to California to claim an inheritance. He soon discovers that his greedy cousin has laid claim to the wealth by declaring the Spaniard legally dead. The resourceful nobleman decides to trap his wicked relative by posing as a peon. He enlists the aide of the local mission priests.

Lamont Cranston, aka the Shadow, has his hands full as the murder of blackmailing reporter Jeff Mann is blamed on him. Not only does the real murderer seem one step ahead of him as Lamont tries to discover his identity, but he is continually hampered from gaining crucial evidence by his jealous, interfering fiancĂ©e Margo Lane. Cranston perseveres and is rewarded with the clue he needs at one of Mann’s victims’ nightclubs.

The Weaver family buys some farmland in California, but the headmaster of a nearby boys school doesn’t want them as neighbors, and before long the boys at the school are causing trouble for the Weavers.
