A young man loses his dorm mate and this inspires his father, an amateur detective, to begin looking into the puzzling case. It takes a while but he finally discovers that the killings were part of a conspiracy. The killers, who used an air gun to commit their crimes, murdered their victims so they could gain free access to their inheritances.
