Edgar decides on a plan to get his freeloading slacker of a brother-in-law, who hasn’t worked in four years, to get a job by faking a heart attack.

Robinet, caught flirting with a married woman by her husband, disguises himself as the woman’s female friend.

Madcap Gloria disguises herself as a man, in order to lure a “dangerous” vamp away from her beau, Bobbie.

In a misguided effort to get a raise and promotion from his boss, Edgar Kennedy’s wife and her father talk him into leasing a swank house and putting on the ritz. A valet comes with the house and he spends a lot of time trying to soften Kennedy;s rough edges, but when he becomes to insistent about giving his master a bath, the always-irritable Kennedy throws the valet in the hot tub, clothes and all. Meanwhile, his father-in-law has been putting the squeeze on Edgar’s boss, telling him that Edsgar has fallen heir to so much money he is going to buy out the business and fire his boss. So the boss comes to Edgars’s home and fires him.

Our heroine is obsessed with the idea that she can and must sing. Living on a farm she has lots of open space in which to exercise her voice, but is compelled to admit that not even the cows and chickens will listen to her. During an opportunity to sing in the choir she awakens every living thing, among others a number of peacefully sleeping members of the congregation. From the city comes a smooth-talking man who promises her the world if she will only be his. They go to the big city where, at a trial given to her in a cabaret, she nearly causes a riot. Of course, everything ends happily.

Tweedledum wears a white suit and is caught in the rain. He stubbornly proceeds on his way and encounters so many accidents that he is forced to return home in a pitiful state.

Through some complications he got himself into involving some oil stocks and his son’s fiancee, Leon is up to his bald head in trouble when he invites the boss to dinner, and has to keep his guests apart.

A woman goes to the dentist for a toothache and is given gas. On her way home on the subway she can’t stop laughing, and every other passenger catches the laughter from her.
