Insurance Agent Ted Sanders has been called in to investigate a robbery and murder. A deputy also arrives to investigate. But unknown to Ted, the Deputy is a fake and actually part of the gang. The fake plants some of the money in Ted’s room so he can arrest him. Then with the help of the gang he plans to finish Ted off.

The Frontier Marshals have been called in to try and break up a counterfeiting operation. Phony bills received at their horse auction leads them to Duke Mallory’s dude ranch. Mallory holds an engraver prisoner and gets rid of the fake bills by having three of his cronies become big winners at his gambling tables. Lee Powell tries to become Mallory’s partner to get evidence but is made a prisoner when his true identity becomes known.

Crabbe stars as Chief Moya, guardian of his tribe’s rich gold deposits. Keene plays a mining engineer sent by a claim-jumper to find and control the mine, but he soon discovers he’s on the wrong side. Based on the novel by Zane Grey. Dir. James P. Hogan
