Some of the richest color ever seen in ‘B’ movies are found in the westerns, and this is one of the best examples. Roy Rogers turns in a typically good performance and there is plenty of action, plus some good songs. All in all a good example of a late 40’s ‘B’ western with good color and a strong plot.

Trouble in Colorado is tying up Union troops needed back east during the Civil War and Lieut. Burke is sent to investigate. Macklin and his gang are causing the problems and Capt. Mason joins them. When Burke catches up with them he also finds Mason, his brother.
