When miners Mason and Benson turn in their gold at the assay office, the
assay officials trail Benson back to the mine and shoot him. Mason is then
arrested for the murder. But the supposedly dead Benson survived and now
plans a surprise for the culprits at Mason’s trial. Written by Maurice VanAuken

When Wayne goes after an outlaw gang who killed his parents, he is framed by a misguided sheriff who thinks he’s part of the gang. Written by Robert North Bradbury. Dir. Robert North Bradbury

John Martin is a government agent working under cover. Leading citizen Morgan calls in gunman Galt who blows Martin’s cover.

John Middleton is investigating cattle rustling when he is captured and tossed into a cave with Emmett, a rancher who disappeared earlier. They help each other escape and learn that a local banker is trying to scare everyone away to grab up some secret gold mines.

The second of the Duke’s films for Lone Star Productions, this one casts him as an accused killer in search of the real culprit. On the lam from the law, Wayne teams up with gunslinger Lane Chandler, never suspecting that Chandler is the man he is looking for. The relationship between Wayne and Chandler, at first friendly and then adversarial, is handled with more depth than was normal in a quickie western.
