Dr. Roger Girard is a rich scientist conducting experiments on head transplantation. His caretaker has a son, Danny, who, although fully grown, has the mind of child. One day an escaped psycho-killer invades Girard’s home, killing Danny’s father before being gunned down himself. With the maniac dying and Danny deeply unsettled by his father’s death, Dr. Girard decides to take the final step and transplant the killer’s head onto Danny’s body. Of course, things go horribly wrong and the two-headed creature escapes to terrorize the countryside.

When a woman has been found by the police she tells of being kidnapped, drugged and tortured by Arminda, a brothel madame. For many years they have been trying to shut down her sex palace called The Pagoda, but can’t get close enough as she has friends in high places. But now the woman will help put Arminda away for years.

It is the American Civil War as envisioned by Italians, set apart from the main theaters of conflict, out in the southwestern desert. James Coburn is Col. Pembroke who has lost impregnable Ft. Holman to the Rebs and who has a private scheme to retrieve it along with his honor. He sets out on a commando expedition with a sergeant and a dirty half-dozen volunteers, scalawags freed from the gallows and kept in line (barely) with a promise of hidden gold. Telly Savalas is the Southern commander dreading Pembroke’s reappearance. Exciting action and tense situations.
