Ben and Walrus Face are two tramp cowhands who decide to pair up and become outlaws, but miss out on the stage when it rolls by while they are arguing. Meanwhile, over at Bud's ranch, Sam Jenkins has come looking for his niece Marion, as he has strong objections to her keeping company with Bud, the broke and getting-broker fast ranch owner. Slick banker Steve Merrick, also a suitor for Marion's hand, won't loan Bud the needed money to stock his ranch, but does give him $500 for his horse Starlight. Ben and Walrus Face are in town, and overhear Merrick telling his henchman Clint to go out to Bud's ranch and steal the $500 back. Ben and Walrus Face knock Clint out, and then knock Bud out and steal his wallet. They later decide a life of crime does not suit them (via the only split screen shot ever employed by B.B. Ray, in which each character is playing to himself) and make plans to return Bud's money, but Clint steals it back from them and delivers it to Merrick. Potluck describes the rest of the film.

Movie cowboy Tom Ford (Gene Autry), star of Mammouth Film Productions, goes on vacation before Wilson (William Newell), studio publicity man, can notify him that he is to make a personal appearance at the 1936 Texas Centennial celebration in Dallas.Unable to locate Ford,the desperate Wilson substitutes Fords exact-double and stunt man,Gene Autry (Gene Autry again.) Gene goes along only to help Wilson out but wants to reveal his true identity throughout the hoax. Enroute to Dallas, Gene's car and trailer collide with the cattle truck of Marion Hill (Kay Hughes), turning losse a herd of steers she is hauling for show purposes. Gene unloads his horse Champion (Champion, or at least one of them) and rounds up the cattle. Gene, still posing as Ford and singing over the radio (although Ford is not a singer) is a sensation. Ford hears a broadcast and is peeved and threatens to sue the studio. Meanwhile, a group of blackmailers (in snappy-brim hats and double-breasted suits) demand $25,000 from the studio to keep quiet about hoax.Things work out okay after six or seven songs.FYI for those who don't seem to know; this was not filmed at the Texas State Fair. It was filmed (some of it) at the 1936 Texas Centennial site, which is now the fairgrounds for the Texas State Fair.

Cyclone of the Saddle (1935)

This ticks Charlie off,and he has Snake attach a knife to the end of his whip and kill two Indians to start an uprising. Andy's job now becomes even tougher.

Bill meets Jean Halloran, who has received several notes signed by "The Phantom" ordering her to vacate the Double Bar-A ranch near an abandoned gold mine. The only other occupant on the ranch is Tom Jackson, her stepfather, who is a cripple, with both legs paralyzed. Billy also learns that Salazar, the town's most noted shot, is looking for him. Investigating the mine, Billy falls down the shaft, is knocked senseless but recovers and follows a figure through the mine who climbs up through a trap door. The trap door leads to Jackson's bedroom. He learns that Jackson is a sleep-walker who can walk when sleeping but is crippled when ...

The second of four films made by Resolute Productions, Inc. that had Rex Bell, Ruth Mix and Buzz Barton billed above the title, and the basic plot is rather basic as the McGregor clan, Ross, Dan and Alex, arch-enemies of Paradise Ranch owner Jerry Vance, frame him on a murder charge, and Danny Blake, a young cowhand befriended by Jerry, and Mary Vance, an eastern girl who co-owns the ranch with Jerry, help him clear his name... but, the subplots provided by writer Eric Howard, who taught a short-story writing class at the University of Southern California, makes it play like a precursor to current soap operas on daytime television; Sally Moore, staying at Jerry's ranch since her mother died, because she thinks her stepfather Les Daggett displays an unhealthy attitude toward her, causes some talk among the boys down at the saloon about her and Jerry, who really loves Mary but Mary thinks he loves Sally, so she listens to the oily talk of Dan, who knows he has to get Jerry out of the way before he can have Mary. Deputy Lafe Hutchins is in love with Jane, Dan's sister, and is in league with Dan's plot to get rid of Jerry... to which end, all hands, including step-daddy Daggett, kidnap Sally. Eric Howard wasn't called on much more to write a lot of westerns.
